Does Medicare or insurance cover lift chairs?
Medicare may cover the lift motor mechanism only (not the chair itself) when prescribed by a doctor for specific medical conditions — typically you pay upfront and seek reimbursement. With a doctor's note, your lift chair purchase may also qualify as a tax-deductible medical expense. We can provide the documentation you need; always check with your doctor and accountant for what applies to your situation.
How much weight can a lift chair handle?
Our standard models comfortably support most adults. If you're shopping for a larger person, ask in-store and we'll point you to the right size and weight capacity. There's a lift chair for everybody — literally.
Will it fit through my doorway?
Most lift chairs need a doorway of 32 inches or wider for delivery. If you've got a tight entryway, tell us in advance and we'll measure the specific chair before bringing it out. We handle the logistics, you don't.
What if the power goes out?
Several of our models offer a battery backup accessory (sold separately) that gets you out of the chair safely during an outage — especially important during Texas storm season. Ask about it when you visit.
How quickly can I get one?
If we have your chair in stock, you can take it home the same day or schedule delivery within a few days. We'll always tell you up front what's on the floor versus what needs to be ordered.
Can I return it if it doesn't work out?
This is the #1 reason to buy local instead of online: we'd much rather you test it in our showroom before purchase than send a 100lb chair back through a shipping carrier. We're glad to walk you through every model in person so you leave confident.
